Edinburgh, Scotland's Alemazz (by way of Toronto, Canada) is the musical child of singer/pianist Aimée Mazzuca and guitarist Akira Alemany. They cite U2 and the Red Hots as influences, but comparisons to a Tori Amos on overdrive are inevitable--although Mazzuca occasionally seems to be channelling Chrissie Hynde with her powerful vocals.

No Tori comparisons for Danielle Ahart, a singer/pianist with from Fredericksburg, VA whose cabaret/lounge style compositions and angelic voice belie the cynical humor of her lyrics.

Talented singer-songwriter Samantha Brock enters the broadcast with a full band, bringing to mind what Karen Carpenter could have sounded like if she'd had a more contemporary sound.
